What a cool nursery and nice guy. Thanks for the tour. I love that everything is so personal. I've worked in nurseries and I bet that is a nice one to work out. Working nurseries (ones that grow their own stuff) are always more fun for the employees. Love all the animals too. What a fun place to hang out for a day.

So I'm kinda confused. nurseries don't usually grow their own starts I thought that was the point. They get all their starts shipped in then Seems like that really dampens your profit margin. Explains why they don't do that here, but still. Why be a nursery if you're making pennies on the dollar

Hi from Australia! We come here for epic gardening and this is off the charts!
I am so envious as we have nothing like this near us. This is so fantastic to see. I hope it goes on forever. It is obviously worth heritage listing and is a national treasure!

Love this episode! I just went to City Farmers a few weeks ago for a free class and was back again today for another one! They have such cool little pockets in the nursery, like the bonsai area, and I'm a big fan of the seeds-by-the-shot-glass.

Kevin, thank you so much for featuring Sam and his nursery. What a fantastic place! I wish we had someplace like this here in the Baltimore area. We have some great places but nothing with so much variety and welcoming warmth. I love it!

I really appreciate that you didn't try to plug your company the whole time. Maybe you could've done a little but that shows how genuine you are! This was a really special video! Thanks you for showing us this place!

Excellent video and awesome nursery. Makes me want to travel to CA just to check this place out. Just a note on the video editing - I normally love the quirky edits, but the coming up icons are a bit distracting.

Went here for the first time over the summer and my 8yr wore us down and walked away with 2 geodes. He had a great time getting them opened and discovering what was inside

Sam's sirname doesn't do him justice, the big Man upstairs was trying to be very funny in getting his mother& father in conceiving a child that would made fun of.

My kids and I love this place! I love how they recycle stuff and have different areas to check out, and they just keep adding to the property.

Dang, the most surprising thing is the 5 cents per seed. That's so much less than I'm paying for the larger seeds like butternut squash and peas.

When worlds collide! Farmer Bill was the best, and I’ve been grateful to have Sam continue the legacy. He’s never led us astray!

I love this! How neat, what a cool place! I live on the other side of the world, but if I am ever in town, I know where to stop: )

I would so love to visit this store, it’s 26 hours from me, may have to coax my bestie into a road trip to San Diego some day!

Great nursery! Wish I had one like that around where I live in NY. Love all the different sections, such a wonderful variety.
