Norfolk Island Pine Care with Northlawn Flower Farm Michael: I bought mine back in 2018 and it's growing like a weed. In fact, it's slowly taken over my dining room. Within the next couple of years, I'm going to have to find another place to live that has higher ceilings just so it will have room to grow. I simply just: Transplanted it in a bigger pot, placed the pot on a couple of bricks to keep the root tips out of the water, moved the tree in front of the south facing window to get full sun for at least 7 months of the year and partial sun rest of the year, feed it about every 4 to 6 months and water/ mist it once a week, and closed the heat/ ac vent. The rest, it pretty much took care of itself. As a result, it's growing like grass after a July rain.

I know this video is kinda old-ish, but I could really use some help! My dad was trying to help out and he put my tree outside at the very end of winter. I brought it inside asap (I had left for the weekend and just got back) and the next day the top needles were white and havent changed back to green at all. The needles at the bottom of the tree are dead and breaking off. The middle of the tree and even the top are still soft and seem like they have plenty of water. What can I do to help my lil tree he's my favourite and I'm worried!

Oh great. I killed it. Will it grow again if I cut it back to just the main stem and bring it inside now? If you want to help this plant get the word Pine out of its name! Or add the word -tropical- to the name! I moved up from Florida and considered my Norfolk a friend for several years. I figured it was a pine that handles winter not a tropical. Duh. I-m sad. I-m going to get one on the after Christmas sale today.

I live in Toronto Canada and my neighbour have me her 4 foot root bound Norfolk pine. It-s about 3 feet from the east facing window, but may be getting hit by the radiator heat. I have a humidifier nearby, set at 60% humidity and have a grow light on it. The needles on the 3rd set of branches from the top are getting pretty brown. Should I take the grow light off of it and move it away from the winter?

I clicked on this video because my mom has a Norfolk Pine and it-s been going strong since this time last year! It is right next to a window though. It gets pretty direct sunlight and has never burned. it has tons of new growth and none of it is brown. Do you think it would still do better farther away from the window? It seems to be doing great for some reason? Even in pretty direct sunlight.

I have a plant called araucaria cookii plant it looks similar to that. The first one died and it started discoloring its leaves before it died. This one is doing the same. I really love this plant please help. It gets indirect sunlight, room temperature is ok I think. I stay in Johannesburg South Africa. It could be that I am giving them too much water than they need.

My son abandoned his and left me to save it. Of the 5 or 6 trunks it once had, I could only rescue one, but it's doing very well. However, I loved the way it looked before and was wondering if there's a way to get more trunks to grow again? If there isn't, is it safe to plant several new ones next to the old one in the same pot?

Have you ever had any luck separating the smaller trees when they're planted with several trees in one pot? I got mine from Home Depot, who sources them from Costa Farms. I'm concerned that the trees might suffocate eachother's roots and struggle as they get older. I don't want to kill 4 trees so that one can be successful.

Hi Barbara! I just saved a larger Norfolk that has been sitting outside in 20- 40 degree weather for a few weeks. It-s still green and alive, but seems to be wilting. I-m afraid I may of shocked it a bit bringing it into my apartment. What should I do to properly nurse the plant back to health?

I just got this plant from Walmart should I spray it down with name oil or will that hurt it? I like to do that preventatively whenever I get a new plant from Walmart or Lowe-s because a lot of the times they have spider mites- But I-m worried I-ll hurt him!

My pine has lost so many needles and branches lol I got it back in 2019, it-s my favorite plant but I keep it pushed against a wall near my balcony window where it gets Indirect light. Let-s say the back is very undeveloped and bare --

Thank you! I saw a Norfolk Pine for the first time at the store, it looked so similar yet foreign, I just had to get one. I'm looking forward to watching it grow and eventually use it as a Christmas tree! Thank you for the tips!

When one searches online about sunlight for these the recommendations are ALL over the map. some sights say to have them in a spot that gets DIRECT sunlight for at least 3 hours a day. P. S. I like your Christian sign in background.

Thank you so much for a wonderful presentation. We already had two of these in our small yard, but today I bought a new one. I did not know one can actually grow it indoors. Thank you and merry Christmas! :)

What kind of soil should it be in? I feel like the one it came in keeps it too moist, I check it every week or two and it still feels too wet. It recently started losing some lower needles.

You move that Norfolk to the sink/bathroom every time to water it? What do you do when it's 3ft/4ft tall? I was looking for full care, but your information is very valuable.
