This was such a wonderful post. The generosity of the flower/farming community is so inspiring and makes me feel comfortable to ask questions and learn more. I have learned so much from you and am transitioning my landscape beds to incorporate cut flowers. You really helped me think outside the raised bed and straight row box. Thank you! Cool Flowers was a wonderful book recommendation and I am reading and read-reading for my zone 5b/6a garden. Thank you! Thank you!

The age of information.
My grown daughter recently asked me how I learned to garden without the internet!
I introduced her to something she hadn't thought of -
BOOKS!
I must admit, You Tube AND the internet really have opened up a whole other side of learning for me!
I also will enjoy the names you are mentioning -!
Thank You for sharing! -

I would add that when I was very young there were rose green houses around Portland Oregon that could harvest flowers 10 months of the year, but getting workers was so expensive and the flowers had to be so perfect (chemicals) all closed. we could make a change and still have US grown roses, since there are so many that are very disease resistant now.

Isn't it wonderful we have so many options to read and listen to. You are right in saying no matter how much you know it's only a tiny bit. That is what makes life so exciting! Thank you for the recommendations. I can't wait to listen to the podcast. It's a great time of year to see your list as we dream of Spring. Thank you! Perfect!

Thank you for sharing these great resources! I'm not a farmer but a home gardener who is just getting into cut flowers. Getting flowers that are beautiful for arrangements can be challenging with all the bug issues, knowing when to harvest, etc. So it's definitely a journey to learn the art of growing cut flowers.

Thanks so much for sharing! I started gardening only a few years ago and it's been such a wonderful journey, mostly from the inspiration and wisdom of people sharing on these social media platforms. I enjoy seeing and learning what others are doing so I'm so happy to add these to my favorites.

Danielle i can not thank you enough. I just listened to Lisa's cool flowers workshop part 1 and this is going to be life changing. When she said that you will no longer be looking out the window in the winter clutching your seed packets waiting for warmer weather, that spoke to my soul.

There are so many talented people involved in the flower industry. Thats great but it can be daunting deciding who to research, follow or buy books and products from.
I'm planning to use the links in this video to research other flower people for inspiration.

It was nice to learn about some of the other gardening people that you respect and appreciate. Thanks for still making videos during winter. Its no doubt harder for you to come up with videos ideas during this season.

Tulipina gives me inspiration in my color combinations. She can use strong colors but pairs them with other colors that look beautiful. Not like a circus clown! And her videos are so calming.
