I love seeing your content and hearing your progress. Don't we all ride by the seat of our pants! Raising a family and running a business keeps life full. You are doing all very well. Such beautiful amaryllis. I'm amazed that you have so many blooming now. I planted the Magical Touch last year and was obsessed with them. The color o'la la lovely. Don't you think it'll take some time for people to realize you are selling flowers now. New for you and your customers. As well as the fact they are decorating and planning for the holiday season. I bet the closer to Christmas we get, the more your sales will increase. Be encouraged, dear heart.

I just bought an Advent calendar of treats for my kitties from Fancy Feast. Maybe something similar for Grace so she can extend her birthday celebration all month long!

BTW - I just noticed that Costco offers assortments of 4 Longfield Amaryliis bulbs at a great price. I think I am going to order it to extend my collection from 1 to multiple! Something your followers may be interested in. I thought it was sold out but still available. I ordered a selection of 4 double bloom bulbs for 49 including delivery!
They have 3 collections choices - doubles, pinks, or red/white.

Hi Danielle, thanks for the tip on using the stick and floral tape to help keep the amaryllis stem from curling up! The bouquet was gorgeous! I loved that soft color of amaryllis. Sorry it didn't sell. You're going to love the cottage centered with your flower beds. Everything you plant will have some kind of maintenance so plant what you absolutely love around the cottage. Grace would love a new ball and someone to play fetch with her for her birthday happy birthday Grace

YES! Of course the shed should be centered on the path! It's gonna look amazing.
How about planting some large Hydrangeas behind, and to the sides of the shed, so it is framed visually by softness?
I'd also consider widening the central path of the flower garden, so that it's the same width throughout.
Geen sounds lovely inside the shed. And how about hanging a lovely, floral chadelier?

I think wreaths might help? And then a little sign? I feel like people who might buy your cut flowers might just really like flowers but not know anything about them. A cute little sign might help, too, saying something personal about your love for amaryllis and how they're such a long-lasting cut flower. The arrangement looked so pretty, I can't believe no one bought it!

I love the way you allow your vision for anything - be it the library shed, the raised beds, etc. - to take shape step-by-step. I am older, and I have come to understand that some visions come all at once and others over time. Neither should be forced. Sometimes 'waiting to see clearly' reveals our level of patience. And as the old saying goes, Patience is a virtue.

Have you considered making the central path of the raised bed garden wider by decreasing the size of the middle beds or moving them? I think you would love a wider path to your new cottage - it would look so inviting! Just an idea! Also, the amaryllis bouquet is absolutely beautiful! Maybe a sign stating, Christmas bouquet! Will last through the holidays!

I came to say maybe some twinkle lights and some wreaths and I see someone else had the same thought. Signage about cut amaryllis may also be helpful. I have a garden cottage also. I used Pinterest for exterior inspiration. So helpful. Excited for your new space!

I am so glad you are repositioning the cottage to align with the raised beds! So much more eye-pleasing. I hope the addition of some wreaths and other greenery items at the flower shed will be just the ticket to get customers to stop. Can t wait to see the results.

I thought after you put up the privacy hedge you said this IS your forever home! Color suggestions for the inside of the cottage: Sea Salt and/or On the Rocks - both Sherwin Williams. I love both of these colors. Neutrals with green undertones.

Question: how far along does the amaryllis stem need to be in order to guarantee that it will continue to open and bloom? I definitely want to try an arrangement if I can muster the nerve to actually cut a few stems!

I like the new location! The back beds ca be removed to give you more room if needed or the beds can be reconfigured to give you less maintenance. I m looking forward to the thrifting for furniture, I hope you find something you really love!

Maybe add some twinkle lights around the stand during the holidays to attract attention. I didn t realize how long those stems would last. Definitely add a little note to them so others will know. Happy birthday to Grace.

For what to grow around the cottage, how about fragrant climbing roses or some kind of fragrant flowers. It would be so nice sitting in there and then a waft of fragrance comes in. Just a thought.

It might look nice to move the sitting area from in front of the raised beds to in front of the cottage. Especially if you put a mini fridge in the cottage. It would make a nice place to relax.

I'm wondering if removing & relocating the last two raised beds would give your cottage a little more breathing room? Perhaps enough for a little outdoor patio in front of it. Just a thought.

Could you add lights to your stand? A folding flower stand sign beside the sidewalk? Also IKEA has some great inexpensive options for book shelves that can easily be customized with trim.
