As this video is older I'm not certain you'll see this comment but first of all this video is well done and informative. Thanks and my compliments. BTW, I'm just entering the canoe world after many years in power boats and the learning curve is steep so I'm wanting to learn what I can from folks more experienced and knowledgeable. What brand and model canoe are you using with this paddle? I'm wanting to correlate your boat dimensions, paddling style, and paddle length. Thanks

Do you do any poling on these shallow streams? I'm assuming the short solo boat is not good for standing position. Perhaps poling in one of your other boats. Considering rowing once I make the decision on what boat, looking at Swifts 15' prospector. Do you find the drip rings keep much of the water off you and out of the boat? Or do you just deal with it?

Hey Shawn. Picking up a new 15ft Swift Prospector based on your recommendation of the manufacturer! Looking forward to some spring paddling. I'm picking out my paddles and being told a 210mm is too short for a canoe. Has your paddle choice changed now that your in a Prospector? Thanks!

I use a Grey Owl exactly like yours, it's a tough, great paddle. I also use (and am fond of) an otter tail the make of which escapes me now. I'll admit though I am seriously considering a Kayak paddle for on the tidal rivers and estuaries.

Sorry, I'm just not s fan of using a kayak paddle with a canoe. I paddled solo canoes for many years until my back ruined that. I just loved paddling using the j stroke. I always felt I could maneuver much better also.
