Just got home from a month and a half camping trip halfway across through the US. From NJ to TX then west through New Mexico into and through Arizona up to the Grand Canyon, Kaibab National Forest. Hit a few BLM campsites, completely off grid on the way as well as my campsite in Kaibab. It was my very first camping experience and I plan on continuing getting out there. It was an awesome time. I had about 10 or so flashlights of various sizes but were cheap. They did the job but obviously had no faith in them, that's why I had so many. Would love to have a reliable light that I could have 100% confidence in. PS have some pics/vids up on IG/s4nm4n

Late but full stop. Homestead idea sounds great. Did you do a garden this year? Incorporate your fall veg harvest (or a simulation of it) into the homestead challenge. Plus yeah, a jar of rendered bear fat for frying and a jar of your maple syrup from earlier in the year.

I'd love to see a home steader addition! Maybe finally catch that beaver on that trip! And wild rice would be fine or maple syrup they are available and useful and not a huge cheat. Glad to see your fire back for the challenge Chris! And full stop as always!

Full stop, head lamps are a must have, I use them at work on night shifts and all my outdoor activities. Those lights seem legit, high quality technology.
