Why do you have to cut the cut in half to release them? I know the chance if getting bit is high if you reach for the hook and there mouths are very strong and probably way to hard to get it out. What's the real reason though?

Love your videos but killing fish for fun aint kool and leaving the hook in the shark not kool. Thats messed up real fisherman dont do that catch and release.
