Josh catches a massive Bluefin Tuna in North Carolina, the biggest tuna he has ever caught! Josh went fishing with Captain Jack and Joe from Afishionado Charters out of Oregon Inlet. Within less than five minutes of deploying our baits, both reels hooked a giant Bluefin Tuna! After a half-hour fight, the first fish pulled the hook. Josh tried fighting the second first, and about an hour into the fight, the hooked pulled! Emotions were very high! About an hour later, Josh hooked the third Bluefin of the day! After a three-hour fight, the team brought the fish boat side, and Josh jumped in the water with the giant tuna. After taking a few quick photos, Josh and Joe released the monster Bluefin Tuna. Captain Jack estimated this tuna to be between 700-800 pounds!

Bluefin tuna are the meanest fish that swims. I was out this past weekend and hooked a 350 pound bluefin while striper fishing in 50 feet of water half a mile off NJ. We spent 4 hours fighting it on a tranx 400 with 40 pound braid and St Croix legend. Got it to the boat 4 times before it chafed the braid and broke off. One in a million hookup I ll never forget. Bluefin are the GOAT.

The way you pass the rod to the guy when u lost the second one is arrogant. At least look him in the eye and say thanks. How hard could it be? And I find the screaming and cheering kinda annoying in the first few tuna. I prefer blacktip back in the old days

That is a top notch charter captain. Doesn t dwell on the lost fish, just gets baits rights back out and moves on to the next one with a smile on his face. And the specialized knowledge of the species? Great stuff.

That is awesome. What's the story on the bottom guide on the rod being upside down compared to the rest? Is it just better for distributing the force?

Just the other day I was looking for him to see if you fished for bluefin tuna and then randomly he posts his first video a couple of days later
