I wanted to give this a like, then you admitted to snagging with intent to go snagging in the future. There are lots of people who don't make a distinction between hooking a fish in its side or its mouth, but for me personally it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth when it is done on purpose. If the intent is to keep the fish for bait or food I wouldn't even mind trying a fishing gouge or bowfishing, but I just don't like the idea of hooking something somewhere other than the mouth on a fish that I plan to release. Just a personal opinion and I'm not stuffing it down anyone's throat. Outside of this it is a good video that delivers the promised material.

blacktiph, if you want to snag a paddlefish, there is one river in particular in Oklahoma, just north northeast of Tulsa, that as of a few years ago, had so many paddlefish, you would always snag a few while fishing for sand bass. Then at night, you we would switch to snagging gear, and even with J hooks instead of trebles (less damage to the fish, but you lose more of them, we would usually be able to snag 5-10 in less than an hour easily with 1 person fishing at a time.

ive been catching alot of pallid sturgeon at the fred robinson fishing access. they must be doing a good job breeding and stocking them. I ended up releasing at least 10 over the course of 3 days. one of my favorite places to go fishing. lots of variety of fish to catch as well. missed the season this year unfortunately.

I was there at the campground at the corner by the cliffs in the large flat opening right before the giant dirt cliffs the weekend before memorial day and we caught quite a few the largest being 82 pounds. There were about 20 caught right there while we were camping. Gotta go next May and we can fish together man

blacktip we have been snagging the heck out of them in Louisiana we've caught about 100 or more in the past 3 weeks its insane the biggest ones we've caught were about 60 pounds I love the fight they have is off the chart its just jerk jerk then jerk and it stops and it doubles over even on the 15 pounders

What line should i put on my Shimano TLD 25 that i just got. I would like o use it for medium shark fishing(4-7ft) from a boat. It holds 50lb mono at 350yds and has 22lbs of drag. what pound backing and what LB mono topshot. Thanks

I caught my first spoonie last weekend on Kentucky Lake We caught 16 fish over 3 foot in about 2 hours. The funny thing was, they were eating little tiny green jig heads with curly tails on them. Amazing species. Awesome video Josh

If you want to snag paddlefish you need to come to Oklahoma we have the best paddlefish fishery in the country. I like snagging from the bank but you can get a guide and snag from a boat but don't expect as good of a fight.

lmao I noticed the, what I assume to be Chinese, folk out there with you I'm sure they were out there to help save the Chinese population, but I thought that the Chinese Paddle Fish was extinct. At least in the wild.

tons of people snag paddlefish in the tailwaters below the dams here in tulsa OK, there's a bunch of big reservoirs and snagging spoonbills is almost as popular as catfishing. They easily exceed 100lb here to.
