I have been fishing for blacktip sharks since 2003 and one of the most amazing sights that I've ever seen is a giant great hammerhead shark hunting blacktip sharks. This past winter, I filmed some incredible drone footage of giant great hammerheads hunting blacktip sharks in the shallow coastal waters of Florida. There were multiple hammerhead sharks sighted, ranging between 12-14ft (the biggest hammerhead must have been 1000lbs.

The main reason I like this is because they are not on a line. It is nature. I have been looking for videos like this forever, all of em make me sad to see morons leave the fish hooked for the bigger fish to feast on, and think its content worthy. Its sick of them. However, one thing I would really like is if you could do this and show the underwater footage of the hammer ambushing the blacktips. :) love you josh

Hey That's my beach I live about 4 miles from that stretch of beach. We swim and surf with black tips every other day; see schools of hundreds of them. But they never let you approach; they always take off. They're very timid, those black tips. Now, hammerheads, they aren't afraid of surfers and swimmers. They could definitely eat more people every week; I guess they don't like that strong human taste. ;o)

Hammerheads usually feed on smaller fish, crustaceans and rays. Their heads have evolved to that strange shape to allow them to detect movement on the ocean floor. If anything, the hammerhead was chasing the blacktips because they are competition for its prey. Nonetheless, a cool video.

This was epic. we live on the GA coast by Ossabaw and we see this as it unfolds. but our water is muddy. so we don't get this great view of what's happening under the surface. Thanks. you would like the GA coast. mostly undeveloped. very pristine.

thanks for sharing, great video. the treat at 0: 35: all the hotel beach beds lined up in front of the enticingly crystal-clear tropical water, and the lone tourist standing at the water edge, about to take a splash amid hundreds of sharks

They were all like, get out of my way. Like how he just drifted and then kicked in the speed once close enough. 1: 55did he catch any? hundreds of sharks that close to a beach, morning dip would be fatal.

What aload of old bollocks. Those sharks are only displaying dominance. Nothing here to prove that 1 shark is eating the other. Stick to fishing you fool and dont be trying to invent things.
