Dawg, I was born and raised in the Panhandle of Florida very close to the Apalachicola Bay and my access to the Gulf was Indian Pass outlet that had very similar conditions. I used to go out shrimping in a 24 ft Bow-well net boat. There's a few times I've had to ride the swells over the Sholes in past the oyster bars because the whightcaps were just too much for my 24 Ft boat. Great job on get-N-R-done!

Sorry for my ignorance, I watched the video twice and I am still confused. Why didn-t you just cut the lines, turned on the big motor and headed back right when you realized you were in big trouble? Like life or death situation. Because you wanted to land the fish?

No fish is worth your life. Should have cut line when the possibility of trouble arose. Always err on side of safety. You likely caused someone in the future to go beyond their safety limit. Hopefully with their life. Please set a safer example in the future.

I-ve been wondering this since the video where you picked up the boat. Is the front railing on a hinge system? Reason I ask is I have been trying to figure out how you lower the trolling motor.

I came to the St Lucie Nuclear plant for a meeting several years ago. We went to eat at restaurant up on the Ft Pierce inlet i think it was and I couldn-t get over the current in it.

Could you have pointed the trolling motor in the right direction and used the hold heading setting and crank it up to 10? Not criticizing just curious if it would've worked
