You-ll Never Believe What I Caught In This Hole! (Viewer Discretion is Advised)- Beverly: One of the ways we caught crawfish was to just slowly lower a small stick down their hole, and when they grab it jerk them out. We also used a string with a large safety pin or hook tied at the end. We could feel when the crawdad grabbed it. That's another thing, we call them crawdads. Really enjoy your shows. Fishing is my favorite thing to do. Grew up fishing, hunting, and farming with my Dad.

I'm pretty sure he had said something in the very beginning of the video about crawfish. So when he asked what did we think he was going to find in that hole I was like well it must not be crawfish. (Since he just mentioned it) oh well
No way I'm digging a hole, knowing that something lives in it and then stick my whole arm in it LOL

they come out at night after a rain, flashlight hunt them.
Back in the 1970's Pinellas Park they would come out at night in hundreds of thousands, scared us to death we thought they were bugs. We were from Ohio at the time.

We would catch crawdads here in Illinois, when I was a kid. They were in ditches out in front of my grand parents house. Then when my kids were young, there were no more crawdads. But there were thousands of tree frogs everywhere.

Those are great eating so sweet when fresh. also side note those brazilian pepper trees are crazy invasive. you could do a episode going around the property and cutting invasives down to help restore Florida's natural balance.

I REALLY miss catching them here in Kentucky as a kid! We'd do the same thing chasing each other with 4 inch -Battle Cruiser's- or -Crawdad's- as we call them here. :) THANK YOU for the fun!

You are so right on bringing your kids out to the wilderness to do anything anything at all as long as it's out in nature they will remember it their whole lives

Hey, I know what. Lets all stick our arms up to our shoulders in a hole in the everglades.
Ten minutes later. Five fingers are highly overrated anyways.

Crayfish, as kid my grandparents lived in southeastern Alabama. There house backed a creek. Dug them up all the time. The holes looked the same.
