I can understand fast food or those mom and pa shop at street corner doing that, but a high end restaurants sell a dish for $100 should sharp their skill.

Hey Gabe, As an European I am not so familiar with hunting. And yes I admit I sometimes think: Is that really necessary to kill so many animals? But you made a point there: If you compare with the agricultural industry as performed in the USA (more than in Europe) and farmers using cleared out land treated with chemicals like Round up in combination with GMO's (which are forbidden in Europe) hunting is not the worst of things to do: -p If hunting is regulated and people stick to the rules and numbers I belief it's sustainable.
And I also admit those tidbits of snipe seared just right looked yummie: -)

Those snipe are tough to hit for sure man. Here in SC, folks joke about going snipe hunting. If anyone ever asks you if you want to go snipe hunting, say no. Cause they're trying to get rid of you lol. You take a croaker sack and sit against a tree. When the snipe comes by, you catch him with that croaker sack. Never tried it, but I imagine it's impossible. Which leaves the snipe -hunter- against that tree for hours and hours lol. I still hear old folks ask new hunters at our club if they wanna go snipe hunting occasionally. Us locals just laugh. :)

I can give you a little secret as how to get the game taste out of your deer meat. It also works on wild hogs and because this snipe is red meat it would more than likely work on it as well. If you want to know just get back to me. It's something I learned processing deer and wild hogs for 20 plus years. And it doesn't have anything to do with soaking it in anything. Has worked for me for years and is some of the best deer meat you will ever eat.

Gabe, best way cook snipe, salt, pepper flour them good, slowly fry them golden brown, make gravy off growing skillet drain oil off add fine chop onions, bit bell pepper, garlic brown them hot pour cold cold water make gravy, extra butter cream mash potatoes boy tasty meal add green beans roasted onions slap your mama time eats

Man, Gabe. I lived in Immokalee for 20+ years! Worked in the fields and the packing houses when I was in school. Went to Technical School worked in the Collier County School District and now live in Central Texas. You're less then 3 miles form my old house. You should go Fishing in Lake Trafford right there in Immokalee!

I am so confused with snipe hunting! Here in Ohio, snipe hunting is a joke. It-s a way to get unknowing people to go in the woods at night with someone who knows the joke and they get left in the woods. Usually go with a bag or pillow case to catch the -snipe-. I did not know snipes were a real thing! -

You make me feel so much better that I don-t wear shoes. I don-t even wear shoes in my garden or when I go fishing. My husband thinks I-m weird. My kids that are now grown are just like me and don-t wear shoes. Half the time during the winter I still don-t wear shoes and I live in Pa.
