Foraging for Clams and Oysters Florida Style (Catch & Cook) Brin: We used to make conch fritters, conch salad and conch chowder. Fritters were usually our favorite but have done some good salads using bbq conch. The best clams ever are NE steamers(pisser clams) Quahogs are awesome for making chowder. I do like razor clams but the girls seem to like geoducks-cant figure why? lol Little necks on the half shell are also a favorite or cherry stones work great in a pasta dish. Nothing beats a nice meaty New England steamer though
Oysters-Rockefeller or on the half(raw. I do also prepare them like Kelly did. Everything is great with bacon. Well except a turd

For a man that-s manly enough to catch pigs and gators
You act like a woosie when it comes to food. Eat the clams whole it won-t hurt you. I like cherry stones raw with a lil catchup hot sauce and lemon juice mixture. I lived in ct for a while and would go clamming in rode island and bring colhogs home and mom made the best clam chowder I-ve ever ate. You make me chuckle when you smell something bad or eat something strange. When I went to Korea I ate stuff that would have made you run lol

Man you should really start learning how to eat clams, those are delicacies. Steam, fry or soup is all good.
We seafood lovers must love clams, O yeah
As for Oysters, no need for me to say, they are long-well-known. Your girlfriend would like you to eat more of those, hope you don't get what I mean. Lol

I like most every clam, mussel and oyster I ever tried. However, my favorite clams are New England steamers (soft shelled clams. My next favorite is deviled clams (southern quahogs) on the half shell. My best friend's mother used to make them when I was a kid growing up in SW Florida.

Loool you just put them in water with no food to eat and they shit themselves and then there good to go little poop isn-t bad not like it-s human poop it-s from a little clam eating plants basically just mashed up seaweed

I putcorn meal in water and soak the clams while they are still alive so when they are cooked they are breaded from the inside out. Class are filter eaters, so the waste is filtered out and replaced with the corn meal.

I love Conch. I am allergic to Oysters, Muscles, & Clams. So when ever I am in a area that severs Conch I load up and eat as much as I can. Fried Conch, Conch balls, & Conch chowder. Don't forget the hot sauce.

Actually that is New England Style Chowder. You can call it whatever you wish, but if you research it you will find it goes way back n the coast of New England.
