Hi John. I'm a very experienced angler myself. - But due to an accident and damaging my spine- i don't fish much now. I watched ur video's for the first time the other day and it beats what's on the TV hands down! Would you consider doing some home videos on how to use fish finders- and trace making? Also explain the rods, reels, lines and tackle that ur using. My son's are into fishing and they have the use of my boat. I'am sure they will learn something from you. Ps My kids have flown the nest. - but I will recommend ur vid's to them as their into sea fishing too. Ur video's are brilliant, just keep them coming mate. Matt

man, you have such a rich life, been dying to catch a pollack or cod. Catching many ling, black seabass, and porgy but just can't seem to get onto one. ah well, the beauty of it is that I get to kep trying lol! Funny thing, catchiing giant eels, even Conger, but they are protected here in the states. Although there is one type off eel, they catch frequently that a few of the guys ask for and take home. Not partial to eel myself. Again, thanks for taking me where I belong, out on the water.

Id prefer to see the fish dispatched properly as soon as practically possible -the ling suffered needlessly and could have been killed before showing the hook removal trick, meanwhile the pollack was gasping for air for the duration, it only wouldve took literally 5 seconds to kill it and should have been dealt with before lifting rod no2. Cmon ffs man theres lots of people watch your vids, just set an example get fish killed ASAP!

Wow, what a session John, really crackin Congers. You never seem to take a Pouting, other than for Conger bait, I've noticed. Can't remember seeing it on the slab either, meself, have you ever tried it? I'm intrigued because it looks like a decent whitefish, the sort of flesh that would sear-up nicely in a cast iron pan. A couple of them from this session looked like they'd have a decent fillet to them. Thanks again mate.

Hi John, another great fishing trip really interesting, exciting, and educational on species and how to fish for them and it's very well filmed and edited, top quality, I've never seen a pollock that size before and the pouting that fat and as for that last conger I was surprised you pulled it on to the boat as It was so big, anyway thanks for a truly interesting trip, -cheers-.

I agree with Tim Grenville-Cleave, yours is a relaxed, natural presentation style that manages to inform enthusiastically without dumbing down or patronising the viewer - and that's a rare ability. Thanks for your efforts, they're appreciated here too. You're a fisherman's fisherman Mr FL. And at 37: 20 you're a lucky one too - loved that!

I love to watch your video's. I love to fish, but husband don't like to. Living in the USA with a lot of rivers, the fish taste muddy. I would be out lobster and crabbing every day. Would eat it every day. You be safe out there and follow your dream. Be sure to also spend plenty time with your family. Sending blessings from Tennessee,

Hi John, love the videos. You mention the barotrauma that lots of species get. have you (or anyone else here) ever tried using one of those descending devices/ fish savers to get them back down to required depth quickly? Be interested to know your thoughts on them.
