I enjoyed how you basically went full circle in this video, picking up at the same location the first video left off, then ending at the location the first video started. A couple of those cats may have been eating size lol. But still cannot get over how pretty those drum are. Something in the shape of their faces and the lines of their body just make them very pretty fish.
And to talk about basics, these videos reminded me of being bored at a friend's house. His parents' property backed up to Cibolo Creek, which at the time was only flowing about a foot and a half deep, and about 5 feet wide. We rigged up some improvised poles from pecan tree branches, some sewing thread, and a couple of copper ornamental hooks his mom had. We caught a few grasshoppers for bait and had a grand ole time simply catching little sunfish like you were pulling. It wasn't the size of the fish that counted, just the fun we had.

I wish I would've seen this sooner! I live in Louisiana have enjoyed many of your videos for months, but haven't commented before. We have so many amazing options for fishing and shellfish off of the coast and in the brackish waters. I think you would've really enjoyed fishing for bass, as they're more aggressive and take more technique. I hope you come back to the area soon when the virus has subsided!

John great vid! I got so tired of keeping up with those species of Sunfish, Bluegills ect I just call them all -Brim- (Bream. I usually take about 30 of those small ones to the North Carolina coast and catch about everything there is while Surf Fishing. I guess the salt water fish don't recognize the smell of the Brim and it drives them nuts. -

That looks like Cypress Creek.
I've fished it many times with my son.
He's off to college right now, but we have a charter trip in a couple weeks to fish for trouts h reds in the gulf.
