I was diving on the 'Inner Butts' at Lamorna Cove one evening when I came across an army of Hermit Crabs all about the same size as the ones you landed. There were literally thousands of them, all heading across the sand in the same direction, it was if they were on a mission and nothing would stop them lol. The sea holds many mysteries and amazing creatures, that's why I have been attracted to it for so long I guess. Great video as always John. ---------------

You are very good fisherman, but could you explain to me why in your videos you wait all this time before releasing a fish into the water? I can assure you that just show the fish for a few seconds and not in many different angles, because unfortunately if they stay out too long, even if once back in the water they start swimming again, they cannot always stay alive, please eat them or put them back in the water as soon as possible! Thank you

Great vid again bud. I do envy you i would love yo take my wife out fishing with me but all she would do is feed the fish - if you get what i mean - lol.
At the end of this vid you caught loads of Hermit Crab do you keep them for bait yourself? If you do not use them do you sell them? They are great bait on the East coast but very hard to get hold of.

Great stuff mate love the rock pool foraging videos best. Enjoy the catching, preparing and eating parts with crab, lobster and other shell fish. I live in Devon (Dawlish) and I-m hoping to do a foraging session soon and try that part of it myself. Just nervous to do it as don-t want to kill anything and potentially prepare/cook it wrong! All the best mate keep the videos coming -

Sticking your fingers into its gills is a slow death sentence. Hold it by its lower jaw and support its belly if you must take a pic. Nice fish but you might as well have taken it for the table. Imagine someone smashing one of your lungs in. you don't seem to have much respect for your by-catch either.

Every time I watch now I play a game with you, will he let the fish go back. I know about swim bladders and depths BUT I also really LOVE to eat all kinds of fish (more than twice a week usually. I always approve of what and why you do it. Thanks for all.

It is encouraging knowing you are in Cornwall. Do you do guided coastal foraging? When this terrible situation is over I would love to learn from you directly. You obviously love what you do and your environment. You would be a natural teacher.

What a stunning fish I've caught a few 5 to 6 pounders this last month up at St brides pembrokshire and also a lot of decent size mackerel and pollock but nothing that big yet love the videos by the way I've learned a lot many thanks --

Been holidaying in Cornwall for over 30 years I love watching you catch the fish but I try to spot where your fishing from as we have been all over the county I am sure its Falmouth in the background I may be wrong.
