Good tip on unclipping and clipping I haven't done that. I fear the clips I have are not robust enough for the pennel rigs I set up. I've caught a lot of whiting where I am and pouting too. The pouting tend to be riddled with worms. Whiting is good eating fish, but like you I've found them to be long and thin. I need to invest in a tripod as it looks like you definitely need one of them to fish off the beach.

Nice video thanks John! Really great to see some shore fishing. I totally agree about the bucket or big Tub - I picked that tip up from Fisho a while ago, and never go fishing without a bucket. Handy for cleaning fish that you wish to take home for the table too. Mr Whiting looked like he might have provided a couple of tasty fillets for the pan! Hi John, good to see you on the beach dear friend. Great way to blow the cobwebs off. The whiting could do with a good meal by the looks of them! Pit the end was not a big juicy bass. Doggies galore again. Did you say you can use small doggies as a live bait? Really enjoyed this one buddy. Take care and be safe, wishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas and New Year. Some people don't like catching doggies or whiting, I enjoy them especially with whiting being a bait fish for cod.
I usually keep at least one whiting and cut it up for bait, the skin is amazingly tough on them so it can be used without elastic and other fish love them.
Really good to see a bit of beach casting.

Superb download, everything crystal clear, from the rod tips to the baiting up. This is the kind of fishing I will be doing as my move to the South West is now back on. Plenty of tips for anglers of all skill levels. I rate this short download as one of the best I've seen on fishing from the beach. Thanks as always for posting.

Great video love a good shore video great stuff. I also use a 3 hook patanosta rig and a scratching rig and it's deadly always catches me fish. Has saved me many a blank. Great video as always all the best to you and your family mate tight lines ----

Noticed you are wearing a life jacket but on shore, something I have understood when out on the rocks. Never seen anyone wear one when -std- beach fishing. Is it because it is at night and solo or general practice for you?
