Woah. great catches, better than mine
This weekend been beach fishing got 1, 35 cm wijting so much for christmassdiner haha.
so. off to the market again.
But it's good to see that your rig works perfect, can't use them here no boat so i max use 2/0 and down to 6 or 8 for flanders and such.
one silly question, in my wijting i found a green egglike thing do you know what that is?

Made up some 2 hook wrecking rigs (great video thanks) and caught a ling just like you did as soon as it hit the bottom. What did cross my mind as we started to catch big conger the top hook was in danger of hooking myself when I disgorged it what with it thrashing around outside the boat because he wasn't coming in on deck so I took the top hook off. Ling does taste great. Happy fishing John

Thanks for that. I'm always surprised to see a guy with the rod but crammed into their gut, when they make a receiver just for that. Also, I sure wish people would say up front what part of the world they are in, just for curiosity's sake--I don't mean their -spot- just the general part of the world--Australia, New Zealand, Southern California, whatever.

the vastness of the ocean is anxiety inducing, to say the least, so it's pretty damn cool to see somebody making their living on the water, being ethical about their catchs & dispatchs, AND bring us along for the ride while educating inquisitive minds.

I love ling and Pollack, I was in a fish and chip shop once a Fisher man off one of the boats was having a hell of an argument with the chip shop owner apparently she was selling cod and he knew it was pollock which is a cheaper fish, I know you're going to say what's a fishermen doing in a chippy? Well they are only human!

I always know when the fish locket family freezer is empty coz we get a ling video --- I've never tried it and would love to so next time I'm down in Cornwall visiting family I'm going to get a wrecking trip booked I think because up here on the south coast we don't really get them

Hiya John, I know you're from up my way, I go out on a kayak, I watched a video once fishing around a wreck at Redcar, only a shallow one in fact the mast or what ever you seamen call it is visible at low water, do you know much about it mate, top vid again BTW mate, you remind me of me when I was younger -

Nice catch, big ling. Looks like your really on them this day, one after the other. Freezer will be packed this week. Last time out you couldn't buy a fish with your friend getting them all. Ya never know what the fish prefer day to day. We you certainly hit the ball out of the park today.

You were lucky not to lose your T bar at 23: 24: )
How does your tonneau cover work? it rolls away really neatly. I've got a full clip down canvas cover which is a pain to put on/off and store and your one looks easier. I guess it was a warrior extra already fitted with the boat.
