Fishing a very welcome window in the horrendous winter storms I explore some of the inshore Cornish reefs using lures for Pollack. Amazing sport on light balanced tackle. I explore several areas and tide rips landing some stunning fish. I have added links to some of the tackle I used in this video

Love the videos John, great work. All of them, there's something about messing around in rock pools that brings the kid out in all of us. You've mentioned a couple of times now that you have your own personal size limits when keeping fish for the table. It sounds like you base these sizes on a number of things but taste and ability for them to breed come close to the top. All down to knowledge and experience I guess. I've no doubt it's been asked before but would you mind sharing your list of sizes somewhere. Many thanks.

I remember you asked if I thought about ordering bait online and I thought it's a good idea but was wondering what you could recommend cuz I have to take into account that I live on the isle of man so I need something that's preserved like super salty squid, I need something that will keep for a while in the Fridge/freezer so any recommendation you have would be appreciated, I could always buy some chicken sataie lmao of at that video.

Hi john, always a bit afraid of the sea, remember one of the bagwell brothers fishing out of sidmouth, who knows what happened, but, his crabber made its way back to jacobs ladder beach, he was never seen again, who knows, dang, that was sad, he was never found, that was mid eighties, fantastic vids mate, but as I say, I never under estimate, all the best mate, n thank you.

I fish similar ground just up in N devon, hate losing lures like that. I've massively reduced the snagged loss rate over reefs by once you know you are snagged properly, keeping light tension on the line(if just wedged could fall deeper between boulders/rock, starting the engine get back uptide of your drift, often pops out just by the angle change and a few good tugs.

John, it is hard for me to explain my feelings about your show. I would would rather fish than eat, and I weigh about 22 stone. You present your show as if it is just you and your guests on board and you are constantly educating your guest as to what is going on. Thank you so much for such relaxing intermissions to the craziness going on in the world today.

Another great session my friend! My step dad owned a Charter boat here on the central Oregon coast. He had the folks from Wright McGill (aka Eagle Claw) on the boat in the early 80's. Together they developed light tackle rods for fishing the inner reefs. In my opinion it's the funniest most productive way to catch bottom fish in less than 100'-

So many people don't realise there is still great sea fishing to be found in the UK.
You've just shown one part of it in this film, light tackle fishing for super healthy fish inshore.
Me, I'd of kept 2 of those fish for eating with my family, but it's the anglers personal choice and that's how it should be.
Great film.

--- half the kids inheritance on lures Hahaha that made me larf! But I feel your pain. I can't stand losing lures. Mate I get so annoyed when I'm pike fishing and get snagged and them lures are only a couple quid with a wire trace. Nothing worse. Awesone video mate always great to watch. Take care tight lines ---

Could I ask an impertinent question please! Do you pay yearly for a fishing license? Monthly how much do you put in so to speak as an honorable fisherman? I see through your videos how much you care for wildlife and sustainability? Do you sell to market? I love your videos! Blessings to you and your family!
