This week-s #fishncanada episode, Pete Bowman, joins up with Walleye guide Kevin Lavers as they set out to try their hand at mid-summer Walleye. They-re not jigging, nor trolling. Instead, they employ casting crankbaits in, around, and outside of lush weed growth. There are lots of fish including a prehistoric beast!

Fished Quinte a few times quite some time ago, always had fun. I like casting crank baits for 'eyes. Balsa is good, the tail dancer is an excellent bait. I also like the rattles in a C C shad, and a C C walleye diver gets a lot of time in the water. So does my Rebel spoonbill, but mine isn't signed by Reno. Don't let's forget the Rapala fat rap. Does anyone else still use those? LOL

I fished there for over twenty years and know every one of those spots. Even stayed at Merland park for 10 years or more for our 2 week August fishing trip. Giant sheephead live here too!
