Pete Kutzer from the Orvis School of Fly Fishing details the proper way to assemble your fly rod for a full day of fishing! meze: fly rods should be assembled from the tip down. that way you dont end up with the butt section sitting on the ground while you put the last piece on. also i think its better to use the butt section of your leader while lining your rod. if you always fold the fly line on the tip of the colored line while lining your rod. the fly line will break down and crack after a while where you always fold it and no longer float
