As a kid spending time with my grand parents at the Forks, I would swim down the river from Doyle's Bridge through the Barret pool and on to the Fork as long as no fishermen were around. Well now, I don't know how he knew, maybe Dave Carroll the fish warden, my grandfather's neighbor. PaPa started on about the river, a lot of french, arms in the air swinging, at the end he had a big grin on his face shaking his head, G D kids now a day. Grand Father owned Hill Top Cabins years ago. My memories

Any salmon fishermen remember master guide Henry ( Norie) Poirier. They sad Nori knew the river better than the salmon. Proud to have been taught by the best, my Grand Father.
