I guess the moral to the story is be careful what you wish for. I'm sure that the rainbows were introduced with the best of intentions but if you love your cutthroat trout fishing you will keep every rainbow you can, especially the females. They are after all, an invasive species. And there ain't nothing wrong with a good trout dinner. Keep the good stuff coming guys.

Some incorrect information is presented on the regs regarding keeping fish. They mention a slot limit on Cutts, I don't think so - all cutts have to be released. And all rainbows and hybrids can be kept, contrary to what they said. Makes me wonder if part of this video was shot on another river?

Great video - really appreciate the care with which fish were handled and released. Clacka-s are great boats, but cannot agree that any -Drift Boat- is Class V capable. Dories, maybe, depending on the particular river.

I never saw a rainbow when I fished the Snake in the 60-70s. They were in river below Heise. Not as good eating as the cutthroat or brown

So many great memories of fishing the South Fork with my dad when I was a kid growing up! One of my most favorite places in the world!

In the early 60s an old man showed me pictures of an early days fish camp with trout as long as a mans arm all strung on a pole

This must be an old video. There is no limit on rainbows and hybrids. No harvest of cutthroats. Brown trout limit is 2.
