I love any type of sight fishing but fishing the flats is the most difficult style of fly fishing I-ve ever done. The wind is usually blowing like crazy and the fish are super spooky. You need to land the fly like a mosquito with sore feet and the action you put on the fly needs to be perfect or they will totally ignore the fly. Bringing one out of five to the net is a good ratio as for some reason their movements are perfect for getting unpinned. Very frustrating fish to target but really rewarding when you finally catch one! Thanks for the cool video guys you did really well.

fished playo de carman last year at christmas. I found the bone fishing to be way overrated although i did get a nice permit and assorted other fish i was disappointed. hooked a tarpon but he took me over a coral atoll and broke me off. a fresh run coho, king, or steel head will put any of these fish to shame in the fight department and it won, t cost near the money as going down south

Mark, great video! I'm fishing in the Northeast with the weather in the teens so it's great to see you and Tom fishing for bonefish in a beautiful area. Tom and you are my favorite fly fishers to watch.

Caught my first bonefish while on my honeymoon in Belize (Ambergris Caye. I have been absolutely addicted to them. It's pretty tough on the psyche when you only get to fish for them every 2 years at best!

You-ve said before never adjust your drag while playing a fish. You-re doing it all the time. I also wonder if that-s your rod and reel you keep dropping in the salt water?
