Some of the best untapped walleye fishing happens in the weeds because most folks wanna -mark em- and are too afraid to roll up their sleeves and tackle the green stuff. In this video, Tom Neustrom breaks down a simple tactic for catching more summertime walleye in the weeds

My trolling methods for walleye are very similar, though I tend to favor crawler rigs with perch color beads and blades, but I haven't tried rigging minnows like you have. So it's time I gave minnows another try.

I use a size 0 gold Colorado blade, 4 small red beads, #6 hook, tipped with small piece of crawler for panfish. Add split shot for different depths.

Could you do a video showing the kinds of weeds that hold Walleye? I-ve never been shown the difference between Coontail, and Cabbage weeds.

I would use a minnow in the summer over a crawler? I thought minnows were a spring and fall type of thing.

-when you get a bite, you want to drop the rod to the fish- - I don't understand, what does this mean?
