So Im back to ice fishing after 15 years I moved to a lake that is small have no idea the actual acreage surrey lake Farwell Michigan 48622 if you would like to look it up its private so I found one map showing depth but that dont matter
I would like to talk to you about panoptixs for I purchased it 73cv ice fishing bundle I have some questions regarding it for my lake is not that deep 15 ft
I think Im having a hard time on how to set up and run because it is so shallow
I moved here in July and I know there is fish here but I cant find them
I go twice a week and they are 12 hour days
I am trying but very frustrated
If you get a moment I would like to pick your brain a conversation thank you for what you do and I dont want to be a burden Im not one to catch and keep but one for the excitement and release

I purchased a livescope for the winter of 2019-2020. I watched a few videos and everyone must believe the blue screen is amazing. I tried the blue screen and it doesn't work well when it's being used correctly. I see you run low to medium when you should be running medium to high as you're missing fish on the bottom.
You should also purchase the perspective mount bracket and update the garmin. Perspective mode detects fish laying directly on the bottom or in the weeds something down and forward mode will not do. If you just purchased yours spend quality time to learn your new device as the settings will help detect fish you're currently not seeing.
So many think livescope is awesome but it's a very high grade device that takes many many hours to fully refine

What parts do I need to move my 95sv from the boat to the ice? I think I would need the shuttle, battery, maybe the bag, the pole. Is there anything else? In particular, is there any wiring that I need to pick up. Could you make a video showing the process taking it from your boat to the ice? Possibly add a parts list in the description for the additional parts (assuming that someone was willing to take all the wiring, box, transducer, etc from the boat. Thanks for any answers you can provide.

Hey, I've been enjoying your videos this fall. However, I am discouraged by your focus on the livescope. It is amazing technology and feels a bit too easy! I'm not afraid of new technologies, but it is out of the price range for me. That means you are teaching techniques that are inapplicable to me and most other ice fishers. I like your style, but I would like to see less of the livescope!

Jay with your pole and mount it looks as though its short enough a guy could get the transducer just below the ice to say fish really shallow water. I fish 3-4 of water a lot on river backwaters and I just got Panoptix this year but the pole that came with it puts the transducer to far below the ice when the ice not real thick. I like your pole setup.

Good point about not having to use minnows for crappies I catch all mine with a jighead that has a under blade with a mini twister tail or swimbait.

What device do you use for a sonar/fish finder? Do you not prefer using flashers? And what would be a cheaper alternative to your device?
