Used to do essentially this bow fishing but had a chainsaw to cut a much larger hole. Going to have to try the hand saw with rods. Make it easier to pull the big lake trout in. Assuming I can cut through the much thicker ice.

Thanks for taking me fishing with you. Fantastic video! Ice fishing and brook trout, my two most favorite things. I rather sight fish than any other way. It's like snorkeling over a reef. Anyway, really enjoyed!

instead of pushing the cut out under the ice lay it against a tree or something, pop it back in before leaving, it'll freeze solid again no problem.
