I love ice fishing gear. In this video I give a side by side comparison on the ice of one of the most expensive and one of the least expensive options for ice fishing electronics. Is Livescope worth the $5000 price tag? You can be the judge for yourself

Just regular Panoptix (not livescope) is another option for anglers not ready to drop $5k on ice electronics. Pretty sure it runs for $1900 on the Garmin website. That price is a little easier to justify, especially since it can easily be used year round. Pretty impressive technology, no doubt!
Great video! Keep up the great work!

I bought a Garmin LiveScope All Season bundle using a 93 SVUHD for $2599 brand new delivered to my door. Everything I need to ice fish with LiveScope. 1 click and I am fishing in my boat using side imaging and down imaging in the spring. I L-O-V-E my LiveScope for both summer and winter fishing!

I think the 2d deep ball worked better I could c the fish on the 2d over the big sonar screen other than one fish but for the price and weight to carry it out its not worth the extra in my eyes but is pretty cool tec tho cant wait to c where they go with it next

I have had the deeper sonar ball for 4 years now I believe and I love it just for the convenience of how portable it really is. Though I have been looking at buying something new since I do alot of lake fishing now that I have a boat.

Great video. Thanks for the information. I'm still sporting my $20 garage-sale flasher that works and was always wondering if I'd be good to jump into Panoptix. I'll probably wait longer.

There really isnt a comparison, would love a live scope, but not feasible for the average fishermen. Maybe in 5 years! Til then the helix is fun to play with! Keep up the great content!

I find it really cool the difference in walleye sizes like our walleye out at pigeon lake alberta are a minimum 40cm and like 3-5 pounds. with very big shoulders

I think the underwater camera is what changed ice fishing for me, nothing like watching the way they react to different bait and presentation.

Great video, but seriously anyone who spends 5 grand on a sonar for ice fishing needs to seek help because they have an addiction

Can you run a split screen on the Garmin with a Flasher view so dont have to deal with the 8 of bottom you lose?
