Good luck with your island paradise!
I wish I could help you build. I've been tradesmen for over 35years but recently I'm transitioning into a camp cook. I cooked in hunt camps for the 2019 and 2020 Bear/Elk seasons, out of Meeker Co. I could easily live on the island and work as part of a crew, and cook.
Sounds like a slice of Heaven!

I own an island on Lake Nipissing and built an off grid cabin roughly 10 years ago. Getting material out to the island was by far the biggest/hardest part of the job. I'm very exited to see how your powering your outpost up with dakota lithium and solar. As far as ideas, Just a few little bunkies would be nice to spend the night. Good luck

As a cabin owner on LOTW Sabaskong Bay for 35+ years and a visitor for 45+ years, welcome, to as you already know one of the greatest lakes! I'm hoping for open borders to spend more time in this great area. Good luck on your venture. Keep giving us those drone shot views.

That crown land beside you is really a huge deal for privacy in the future, some White Pine on the property, looks like you got a nice spot for the dock in that bay that ramp for it is going to be a long one. Best of luck to you Jay.

I'm with Scott, no one wants to listen to a generator. Embrace the Off-Gridness. If you need some Gridlessness consultation, we're here for you. And when are you building? Maybe we ought to road trip?

I agree no one wants to listen to a generator but a small one to be used only when the solar panels can't keep up can be helpful. Maybe a small wind generator to help out also.

Love it! As a guy from Wawa now living no where near good water in southern Ontario I hope this works out well & I can book a visit or help with a hammer someday!

That's Mint! I have the same type of spot near Sudbury Ontario. I don't do guiding, but it's there if anyone needs a warm place to stay.
