How is it going Flair Fishing Fam? So today I decided to bring back an old AFO tradition and put out a tips video. I have stepped away from these howto videos and focused more on the vlog style but wanted to stick to my roots on this one. I really wish I could've gone ice fishing but mother nature had other plans. I PROMISE I am going ice fishing this week, no matter what the weather is like. Thank you all for your patience and tight lines Milliken Fishing

I am predominately a plastic bait kind of fisherman, so I can only speak to my luck with soft plastics. I have had good luck with a fluke when it's cold and when nothing else works and actually favor it over a worm style which is normally my confidence bait at all other times. I go weightless, and not quick long jerks, but slow and more subtle jerks, maybe 1-2 feet of swim, let it sit/sink a little, small jerk, sink. Whatever you think is slow fishing a fluke, fish it even slower. Just try imitating an almost dead bait fish. BE THE BAIT: ) I've also noticed that I will get bites in open water, devoid of cover, with this technique where I would not likely fish in other times of the year. I like smokey shad or white ice. Smokey shad seems to work better in murky water and white ice in clearer water. IDK if that holds truth, but that's how I use them and do pretty well.

Sup flair, i was wondering if ur looking for trips, we have a house on burt lake in Michigan and the state record smallmouth was just caught out of it this past year, 9. 98 pounds, and the house is on the sturgeon river, which is great stealhead and brown trout fishing, i caught my pb stealhead out of it two years ago which was 29 inches, so hmu if ur interested in maybe coming.

Anyone have any tips on fishing smaller urban creeks during this time of the year. It's all rocks and logs at the bottom and I know that there are lmb and carp. I've been throwing mostly Texas and small cranks with no luck recently. Any input helps

How about a drop shot video? I have been attempting using this rig but i cannot get the baits to suspend horizontal. I have tried a Palomar knot as well as a few others. but nope bait does not stand up.

I live in SoCal and this honestly probably still applies. In winter, all the bass are lazy and won't chase a meal. The ponds are so calm you couldn't even tell there was fish in there

You know that thaw means to stop being frozen, as in melted? Un-thaw would mean not melted, like frozen. When ice melts, it's thawed, not un-thawed. Language meets physics.
