When I went to Mexico I bought a cheap fishing rod that didnt bend and caught my biggest bass ever on a string with a bunch of beer bottle caps and and one large ocean sized hook connected through it I bought from some old dude who said he caught big bass when he was a kid with it I didnt have a scale but I would assume its around 8-10 pounds
