After a few days of ripping those choppers you'll see why they use 6' rods or shorter. My first trip the old elbow was toast the first day. Since then with the short rods I can throw the choppers six 12 hour days no problem, save the longer rods for jigs and such.

Man I bet slinging those choppers on bass reels really wears out some reels, probably rod guides too. Seems like a calcutta would be a better choice and help the old wrist out a little.
