So what you want to do the water table is 6 feet deep 4 feet is not deep enough to get natural water in the pond wants the pond starts filling up with water you can make it bigger and number 2 is with bass and coy and minnows you want to have a certain amount of bass and feed fish for the bass if you have to much fish you can over stock it and kill the fish cause then they run out of smaller fish to eat you want to make sure its 6 feet for the water table

A good way to learn on the excavator is get tires spread them out within the reach of the arm and then pick them up and stack them then when you feel more comfortable in it unstack them using the excavator and put them back were you had them it will help you learn the controls and to be smooth with your movements

Bury a couple 55 gallon drums so that way if your Pawn freezes during the winter giving where you live your fish have somewhere to go below freezing level and you can also use Roofing rubber the Home Depot should definitely carry

Brother a Pond does not cost that much Paul cuffaro had to pay that much because he does none of it himself! I literally made a 30 by 30 pond for under 2, 000! And that's because I did everything myself!

If you need help running equipment or building anything, I live in Omaha and have 6 days off every other week. I'm usually looking for stuff to do, if you need help with stuff around the farm.

Next time have someone digging with the excavator, and someone running the John Deere to move dirt out of the way, or even dump dirt strait into the bucket instead of putting it on the ground.

Okay so I have a legit question, do you plan on utilizing the pasture grass you have that's bare to cur your own hay for the animals? You have a huge field going to waste so just wondering?

I would just make wooden boxes that size then line it with that special black tarp or whatever then keep constant running water and keep them all together but put a screen in between them

If you use the teeth on the trackhoe and get them welded to a steel plate, you can essentially have a smooth bucket, for very little money. Just a suggestion! But nice work boys

FLAIR You should put each pond going up the hill and a creek running through each of them and then a pump pumping back up so then algae doesnt grow and keeps the water running cool
