Now that the new mini backyard pond is full of water its time to add fish! Comment below what other fish we should add next! PEACE! Texas: IMPORTANT ABOUT POND! quick lesson in keeping fish in water coming from a fish keeper/breeder. That water conditioner basically just eliminates the chlorine in the waterand as far as ph goes bass n blue gill can live in basically anything above 5ph but 6. 5_8 is where they will be very happy. Right now it shows no ammonia, nitrite and nitrate but once you start feeding the fish along with the fish pee/pooping will start to create ammonia. You need to be running the filter for a while to create beneficial bacteria inside the filter. This bacteria will basically eat the ammonia and turn it into nitrite. Then another bacteria will form to eat the nitrite and turn it into nitrate. A nitrate level of 40ppm or less is safe but ammonia and nitrite need to be 0 because those are the things that will kill your fish. It does take a while to fully cycle your pond. You will start to see ammonia first then nitrite levels going up once both are back down to 0 then your pond is completely fish safe. The easiest way is to just do 10-20% water changes weekly until your beneficial bacteria colonizes. Look up The Nitrogen Cycle it will explain everything it honestly sounds way more confusing then it is but it is important. This is why so many new fish keepers first couple fish die. But honestly bass and blue gill are pretty tough so they should, but no guarantees survive until the cycle is complete where allot of more sensitive aquarium type tropical fish would probably die. Just don't want you to throw some good size fish in there and them die. But as long as there are fish in there creating waste they will be cycling the pond for you. P. S. never throw a bunch of new fish in there even after it's cycled do it slow so the bacteria colony can compensate and keep up with the amount of ammonia being produced. Have a goodn bud!

You need to cycle the pond, fish will produce ammonia and there won t be bacteria to consume it. Also conditioner removes chlorine and heavy metals which kills the beneficial bacteria. And if you re thinking of adding crayfish I wouldn t because they will brake the liner and cause a lot of damage

The bass will eat it just might take a few more day's they are home sick. lol But serious they are in a sort of shock and they need more time to get use to it. Flair Films ROCKS this coming from a 60 year old grandpa.

Yo Flair, I guarantee you probably said it somewhere but what pole and reel did you use in this video? Also for future fishing videos can you tell us in the description what you used in that video. Thanks.

Holding the ducks more will do nothing. Some ducks will either be extremely friendly or avoid you as much as possible, it can also depend on the breed same goes for chickens

You should not feed your fish(or every animal except some reptiles)goldfish. They are full of chemicals and have enzyme in Them that Will break of vitamines.

Your pond is gonna have nothing in it cause there are no fish. It s plain water. Once the fish are in u gonna get a hella ammonia spike that can kill ur fish

Tip don t put water from the stores when you buy bait fish it has high ammonia in it and other fish chemicals, so the bait fish survive in the bag

If you are running off of a well then you dont have to worry about any of that ph stuff you on worry about that if you are doing salt water or tap

Gold fish work great. After a couple days the bass will eat them like crazy. I had a pond with like a 1 pounder and he ate goldfish on the daily
