lol that s not at all how solar panels work it doesn t have to be at a perfect angle or have the sun hitting it just right. as long as your panel is getting UV rays or hit with light, they will charge. even if they were getting a light shade from like a tree or minimal obstruction they would still charge. only time you re gonna run into problems is if it s getting heavily obstructed or direct obstruction like it was at the doomsday shelter with all that snow. i install them for a living.

Gel batteries are a type of battery. Most common are flooded lead acid batteries. The gel batteries are usually AGM, or activated glass mat. Optima batteries are AGM.
I see it's a Walmart Neverstart but I don't recognize the Blue label. Anyhow depending on what type of battery you have, you set the charge controller for that type.
Cold doesn't make it say Gel. lol.

Yall definitely need at least a deep cycle battery and have more batteries wired in parallel bc one car battery of power is not enough for much unless it is constantly fed power but solar doesnt charge as fast as it will drain especially in cold

Why not get handy Rick to make you a small lean to box outside where you can have all your solar panel stuff inside then just run power through instead of having batteries and all in your cabin.

You should make a diy stand out on that hill behind the cabin, make it swivel that way when it hits noon you can swivel it 180 and get the evening sun
