Don't mess with lightning! Good choice. We were out on the water and a front was moving in, just a couple weeks ago.
We decided to play it safe and go back to the landing. One other boat didn't. 15 minutes later there was hail coming down and the boat that decided to stay out came in full throttle and rammed their bow into the grass and jumped into their truck at the landing hahahaha!
