I just wanted to thank you for sharing this epic hunt with us. Without a doubt it is one of the most physically demanding and life endangering hunts I've ever seen on here. How the two of you got down that mountain back to base camp without breaking a bone or other serious injury, not to mention hypothermia is beyond belief. Climbing that mountain with all that gear in those conditions is just mind numbing.
And your partner/guide is one of the toughest individuals I've ever seen. Would definitely be the guy to have on a hunt.
I'm glad you videoed the whole thing, I seriously doubt that you'll ever surpass this in terms of endurance. I wouldn't recommend trying this again in another 20 yrs.

So the name of the track you were on is the Copeland Track. Six hours in, six hours out. The name of the hut, or cabin, you stayed in at the hot pools is known as Welcome Flat. Very popular year round. I only go in winter as Im more likely to have the place to myself or sharing with small hunting parties like your own. I attempted to walk in a couple of weeks ago but the weather closed the track. Ill try again next week. From the Autumn colours around you, Id say you might be in Arrowtown.
I moved here from Florida 20 years ago and this is truely a hunters paradise. Glad you got to experience it all for yourself.

By far the best video series you have ever done! I think it is the best video series of any kind from any of the googan squad and maybe the best hunt I have ever watched anywhere tv or YouTube! Awesome job super happy for you and you should definitely do a fishing series in new zeleand!

What a epic series man, cool being a kiwi and watching this how you have a huge amount of respect for the outdoors and what New Zealand has t offer if you were ever to come back I would be more then happy to put you onto Maybe some of the different deer species and Large Trout

Your chickens got out underneath the fence. Those are some big gaps. Also animals will get underneath so lock them up if you don't want dead chickens. Good work otherwise lfg.
