Oh my Goodness! This was so much fun! Catching Crabs in the world Famous Chesapeake Bay! Thanks so much to Captain Trey for showing us around and huge shout out to Captain Jake Hiles of Matador Sportfishing for setting it up! mike: I lived in Baltimore for awhile and those people love their blue crabs and beer. When I was a teenager in the 60s we used to paddle a 13 ft John boat out in the Northern St Johns River and catch a wash tub full of blue crabs in a couple of hours using chicken necks on a line and flat flip traps.

I agree with that comment, DMFD and his brother Blue Gabe are the best and inspire me to get better and get to go fishing when Iam, my Pastor made me a deal to take me, because DMFD! But I spent 2 years in & out of the hospital fighting cancer and DMFD was the 1 thing I had to look forward to every day! I even binge watched every video I had never seen and waited for the new one every day! He made want to stay alive, he knows how to live and I am determined to make it back and go fishing because of 2 people my Pastor and Deer Meat For Dinner! DMFD even said something to me 1 time! I'm going to make it back % & I'm going fishing with my Pastor! Thanks DMFD, Mac

Man i gotta give blue crab one more try before i say i absolutely dont like it. I caught a few in peace river. (pretty far into the river. took the shell off, cleaned them up really good, cooked them with some creole seasoning and man i was so excited to finally eat them but the moment i took a bite out of that claw and tasted it. It was HORRIBLE. super bad fish smell and just squishy meat. Maybe it was the crab, where i caught them, but idk. I loooooove stone crab but them blue crabs really let me down. Anyone ever experience the same thing? Any advise?

Hey Rob! As we have discussed before, I clean mine like you do, and steam ours in beer, old bay, and lemon slices. But thanks to you, now most of the time we skip the old bay and use everglades! Hot for my hubby, and regular for me. And honestly, I tried cactus dust on them a couple weeks ago, and oh my, that was so good! Love your videos and adventures! Keep them coming. Hope to see you again soon! - Carla Crane Silveira

Robert please take time to go to Spots seafood I use to work there and I would love it if you would go talk to the owner and see if he will let you take a look around show you the process of packing, shipping, and preparing fish for whole sale. Tell him Bronson sent you.

Give the crabs an ice bath before steaming, calms them down and they won't fight and tear each others claws off when they hit the steam. Most crab shacks on the upper Chesapeake electrocute the crabs right before steaming for the same reason.

Great video again brother. Its funny how you call Virginia the northeast and us in NY call it down south. Still loving ya Rob. Would love to meet you some day. Maybe in 3yrs when I move to FL.

The dude crab is the Washington monument and the chicky is the Capital by the way the apron looks, just saying. I have been tearing up the biggys in nj this year, its been a great season.
