But i haven't had any bites. I have thrown everything in my tackle box in the bait fish with no luck. I have fished points and deep water as well and with my lack of knowledge i haven't been able to get a strike. I may be going through bass withdrawals. Could you help a newbie out PLEASE.

What taper does that rod have? And uf u wanna catch some big smallies on those square bills, burn them as fast as you can in open water. They will yank the rod out of ur hands!

If fishing with someone else as a team during spawn, after the first runs the crank by the stump without a hit, the other can throw a jig&trailer right after and sometimes pick it up.

I know this video has been out for 6 years, but I would just like to add one comment on fishing in less than 4 feet of water with squarebills. 17 lb old-school mono!

I use 10b or 12lb flurocarbon because it makes the wobble more intense. Whether it's shallow cranks or those big'ol deep divers.

do you just use less line or a bigger real when using heavy fishing line. I would like to try heavier line but don't know how to apply it

He said when I'm a shitty fisherman on camera I just start talking about how suave I am when I cast and how slick my bait caster is
