Hello Scott, it has been a couple years now since you made this video are you still using the DuraSafe Locks or have you found a better lock to lock your graphs? By the way will you be fishing the Lake Champlain FLW this year, I was so happy to see that you won it last year, hopefully I see you out there to say hello and maybe get a photo opportunity and autograph from you if you could please.

this wont always work. what happens the they take a saber saw to the plastic mount? I will give it to them though, it is a good idea. but I've seen lowerunits stolen of boats while there in a slip, they just took the 6 bolts out and cut the shift shaft, or didn't need to cut it because it was a spline'd shaft. just my 2 cents.

The downside now is if someone really wants to take your GPS, instead of just the GPS missing you will now have a damaged boat when they bring out the cordless sawzall to just cut the fiberglass around the mount. That makes for a very unhappy day.

If a thief found out my sounder us locked. He'll get angry and get a firm grip on the sounder and yank it hard to brake the mount or RIP the mount out of my boat. It's not his boat why would he care damaging it if unsuccessful?

All you have to do is remove the 2 0r 4 screws from the bottom of the ram mount and then your off to the hock shop for payment, after that off to the beer store for a case of coors light. sorry not for me
but thanks

I agree with the earlier posts. A motivated thief could get around these pretty quickly. What is needed is a thief-proof mounting system. Will talk to my boat mechanic about that.

Keep an honest man honest. Good concept. Hows it been working for you? Have you been leaving your units on your boat at night with them on?
reply

At almost 60 PER LOCK, these things are WAY over priced for anyone other then Tournament Fisherman. And thieves will STILL find a way around them.
