That knots been around for a long time, I learned that knot 20+ years ago, books called it The Fishermans Knot. Also, in the 90's and early 2000's, Jimmy Houston named it the Jimmy Houston Knot. Works on all types of line, mono, flouro and braids, no slip. Has reappeared mid country using single line, not doubled.

Knot is a double San Diego jam knot. If youre fishing anything less than 15 lb fluorocarbon, 4-5 turns should be made. Not three. I can tell from experience that 3 turns will break on 10 lb test eventually.

Good video! I love fishing swimbaits. My favorite is the Keitech Swim Impact in the 3. 8. I just wish they were a little more durable, but then they probably would not have that incredible action.

I really want one of those Minn Kota ultrexx with the spot lock. Looks like every pro is using it now. I've been fishing deep water lately and I spend more time trying to stay on my spot than fishing.

I've used that knot my whole life except without doubling the line. It has never broke at the knot. My hooks bend or snap in half sooner than the knot fails. Salt Water fishing.

I like putting those small kietechs on a shaky head. You can hop it off the bottom like a wounded shad and swim it back to you like normal or a combo of both.
