Grand lake ended up being a mess for me in so many ways. I learned some valuable lessons and hopefully I got enough points to keep my AOY hopes alive. This video I discuss what I did wrong and hopefully this video will help you make better decisions than I did. Be sure to tag me on IG wearing your SMC Merch for a shoutout! Your 20/20 was on point. We had similar conditions during my clubs spring two day with the exception the water was starting to bust 60 degrees. So I chose targeting spawning areas and picked off some good male bass and 1 three pound female each day. The man in 1st after day one had me by three pounds and was targeting prespawn females, and his fish moved on him and only scraped up a small limit on day two. I not only was able to get a limit off one area I got enough confidence to run a pattern and culled up a little for the win. Your reflections not only help you grow from your losses but help us learn a lot along the way. Thanks Scott Martin and good luck at Cherokee.

Scott, I am seriously rooting for you to win, but you need to follow your own advice that you give yourself at each 20/20. At this point you are rehashing the same advice, but you forget on the day. Then I agree with Coy Greathouse. Like the sponsors on your shirts and equipment, you are Sponsored from Above. You won't cuss whilst using your other sponsor's names in the same sentence? Focus on fixing that, and the rest may just fall into place. Okay, so enough preaching. I greatly enoy your videos and look forward to each one. You have the capability, now go crush them!

I finally won my first high school bass fishing tourney on lake Cumberland KY! It was the state tournament for Kentucky. But the cool part is that our boat batteries went down and we had to drive to the nearest auto parts store and pick up two new batteries so we could fish. We wasted about two ours of fishing time. The bite was slow but there is always a spinner bait bite in Cumberland for about three weeks and it was late in that time. We weighed 16. 1 with five fish! Im so excited.

Just go fishin bud, if you think long you think wrong, the last few tourneys i've fished hadn been so good and i was gettin down on myself questioning my every cast, move, bait everything, this last tourney my wife told me to just go fishin and have fun and go with my gut, i did and had a blast by myself and caught 15 to 20 fish cullin by 11am, only had 11. 48 but i got my confidence back, just a lil food for thought bud good luck and tight lines! love the vids bud

If you were a baseball player and got 3 hits out of 10 plate appearances you are considered good. Fishing and rodeo are the only sports that depend on animals in order to complete the competition. In my mind it can be the toughest mentally of all sports for that reason. Add in weather and circumstance and you have the makings for a nervous break down. Stay positive like you always do and just keep on keeping on.

Just gotta eat that humble pie and get on with it. No matter how much we know, how experienced we are, or how hard we study, the fish always tell us what they want. I appreciate the 20/20 videos a lot. Lessons learned are always important. I hope you wreck em' this time bud.

I agree with the karma from Billy thing. But also you don't need to apologize for nothing you're one of the best that's ever lived. That just let those young Anglers know that there are days like that no matter how good you are

Takes a lot of introspection and honesty to make these videos. I learn something from each and every one. Thanks for making them even when its tough. Keep your chin up and we look forward to watching you slay em on Cherokee!
