All due respect, if you're going to fish in an area where catching muskies is going to happen once in a while, it would be great to educate yourself on handling. I mean no disrespect, those are great fish, but hanging them by the jaw for weights is rough and that gill plate being bent out as far as it was is too. There's a lot of videos to watch that would help you out. I know you guys are good sportsmen, and being new to handling big fish is totally understandable. but this would be a good time to learn a little. and maybe chase Musky! They are a ton of fun and not very dangerous! LOL

Congrats but you need to take better care of the fish by not having them out of the water for so long and not letting them touch the carpet in the boat it is bad for the slime all so the release is the most important part and the fish needs to kick away not just thrown back in the water like a bass but what a blast in the boat I hope you can catch more and take better care of them

First time I tried Musky fishing was out of my kayak. When I got my first one, 44, boatside kicking up water in my face. I said the same. Now what do I do. I was properly prepared, but man it got my heart beating and brain discombobulated. I still fish for them out of my yak. Cant get any more up close and personal. Other than maybe noodlin. But I like my had and arm

Here in Ohio it's pretty common to catch the fish of a million casts lol I've never bought a muskie rod and set up or even tried to target muskie but I've caught a lot of them crappie and walleye fishing! Throw on a rapala #9 fire tiger or a spinner bait and eventually you will hook one

I did the same thing with the first fish, only the guy that cought the muskie had the O ring on his crank bait pull out. The fish was stressed out and wouldn't submerge until we Noodled it and revived it. REAL MEN NOODLE MUSKIE!

I love to fish bass, but the best day of fishing ever was on my brothers birthday when I landed a 44 1/2 Muskie weighing between 20 and 25 pounds. A day I will never forget and would love to repeat. What amazing fun!

Awesome, way to go Scott and BLat. The emotions and increased heart rate is a feeling we want every fishing trip! My heart is still pumping, thanks for sharing,

That was the two worst releases with a fish I have ever seen. Pitiful. And why did the other guy take the picture of the first fish when it wasn't even his.

Scott,
Great fish! Those big fish dont like hanging by just the jaw on the scale, hurts their spine, they need full body support.
Love the vids!
