The tendency to hang on to a method that sorta worked and wasn't really the jam is something I've done too in the past, I would've fished those mat's again the next day instead of fishing the moment or fishing the current conditions which was the mistake you made note of here in this video. You said the sun didn't really come out and you think those fish didn't really relate to the mats. you noticed as an afterthought but didn't during the tournament because you had caught them a little in practice. So essentially you was fishing memories and you and many other pro fisherman has taught to always fish the conditions. This is more than just a 2020 this is a lesson.

Hey Scott, shouda coulda woulda right? I feel ya brother. I've been there more times than I can count! Especially when I fished the TBF WEST REGIONALS on Lake Powell in '04. I should've won that tourney, but was too stubborn too and lazy to make a couple simple changes. It hurt! Don't get too down on yourself man. You know you're a stud fisherman. so no worries. Your an fishermen it happens to everyone at some point you should get away from playing it safe and do the opposite of what's ok or safe. Your jigging and flipping slow with ok results change it up throw spinner baits or fast swim baits. I'm not telling you how to fish your damn good at that but I believe you play it safe offen. If it's not working to the opposite is all I'm saying.

I think you did what a lot of fishermen do and that s just being and getting too comfortable with a bait or technique expecting it to work and not having the best of luck but, stuck in your way and don t won t change bait or technique and even area. Keep it fresh keep it moving! You re gonna do great! Everyone has a rough day or weekend just proves that you re human!

Well. i fish the San Antonio area. everyday Scott. We have a saying. sometimes it just be like that. Texas can make your dreams come true one day, and the next break your heart. Personally ive been banging a swim jig. tearing them up Scott. Keep your head up, dont dwell on the past. fix errors. COME ON BUDDY! U GOT THIS. We are pulling for you!

Hey Scott had a similar problem as I was in a Super BFL this past weekend and it was cloudy. I flipped the grass with big worm and just got nothing! I was 23 trying to qualify for the Regional at Chickamauga. Bummed as I fell out of the top 45 to 55th. Just doing my 20/20 after a bad tournament! Good luck at Hartwell! You can make it!

. I have had to say the same thing to customers. Should have zigged instead of zagged but because of xyz forecast and trying to plan the day accordingly sometimes it doesn't work out as expected. Solid break down, move on and smack em at the next one

You re vids are the ones I keep coming back to. I really enjoyed the Rayburn series with Todd, Andrew, and Billy. I enjoyed watching the camaraderie between all of you as you hung out prior and during the tournament. Keep that stuff coming.
