I Need YOUR HELP! My Honest Opinion Noah: Since I understand that I ve had problems with spinning rods and braid, then you did on the st. Lawrence I think a good fast action medium light rod, more of an inshore spinning rod action. My favorite rod for keeping them pinned on bass is a penn squadron III inshore 7 6 medium light fast action, it works well. Maybe a moderate fast spinning rod 7 and it work amazing with 10-20 lb braid and a mono or flouro leader.

It was interesting. To understand. The way in which the Brian Latimer series. Of the 'crank bait' rods (and he did explain, how he did end up with not one crank bait rod, but two of them. In the same series. How BL's rod designs. Fitted into the bigger picture. Of the types of tools. That bass anglers utilize. In doing their job. Because I have to say. That not being a gear tackle angler myself. The only reason. That I appreciate. What it is. That gear tackle anglers do. In their fishing. Is because. You do have. All of these tools. That are down to six and seven feet. In overall length. And are designed. To do different things. The problem. With being in something. Such as 'fly fishing'. Is that everything. That we learn to use. Is about putting very 'tiny' sized baits. Out really far. Into the distance. And having some capability. That when a fish takes. At many yards away. That we are able. To gather line and tighten the rod. Into a fish. At the same time. At a moments notice. Everything. That we operate with. In our job. Is stuff. That is designed. To work way out there.

Just watched a video about japanese made rod's and the guy was talking about omni directional spine and how important it was and that most japanese rod's don't have this what they have is usually called a directional spine that is usually oblong and generally pointed in the direction of the eye's, but the problem with this is that your sensitivity and strength only are felt in one direction which is limiting. The omni directional spine has full sensitivity in all directions and has strength in all directions, so no matter the direction of the bite you feel it.
If theirs any truth to this it will be how I choose the next ten rod's that go in my rod locker. Hopefully favorite is looking into this.

Would be awesome to make your very own drop shot rod specifically for drop shots, a cranking rod and a flipping stick with a signature grip unlike any other flipping stick I find sometimes my hands hurt 6 hours into flipping because the grip just isn t completely comfortable let s see what u got Scott!

A 7'6 Flippin stick for getting over cattails on the North Shore. A 7'3 heavy for casting 12 wild shiners in the Monkey Box. And a 6'8 light heavy for Shellcracker fishing at Bird Island. Ok? Just my opinion. lol Love to use Favorite rods, anything ya'll come up with is quality!

All the rods I use are favorite rods, Scott I would love to see a really good all around jerk bait rod. Jerk baits are an all year round bait and I love using them. Tried about 4 different styles of favorite rods, still not found one the works well with the actions of the baits.

I can't wait for some video from H's tourney. Make sure she has a blast and remember the zone is right between stoked and relaxed.
I'm thinking 6'10 med. extra fast would not only walk the dog, it might take it for a run too. Soft jerks in and under tight spots?
