This mistake cost me 100, 000 - bassmaster elite mississippi river (20/20 recap) - ufb s2 e45 Brian: This will sound silly an amateur fisherman giving advice to you but if u will try this you will no longer have this issue. Try using a smaller guage hook on your swim jigs and this will 100% relieve you of fish shaking those bigger guage hooks. They simply don t shake em. It s all good fishing those heavy hooks on braid n driving the hook home but if u like fluorocarbon those smaller hooks work wonders. Just something to try. Buy some cheap jewel jigs with the lighter guage hooks n see what happens. I ve proven this in my own fishing so I like to share it to anyone even if it s a professional like yourself so don t take it the wrong way just give it a try. It s

Video on the whole season sounds not so good! Do you think that a stiffer rod would have drove home a hook on some of those pole rollers? When I was watching that was my first thought. Looked like your rod bowed up waaayyyy too much. Just asking you are the king sir! Great season! Can t wait to see you at the classic!

What I appreciate is that every fish loss shows were the ones that made me cringe watching the videos. The ones that hurt me as an angler because it's the stuff I do when i get excited. It's always nice to see the seasoned professionals call them selves out for the same stuff us less than professional fishermen do. Lol

Scott I'm sorry buddy I love you but it's hard to take you serious about those being big fish when you say BIG ONE every time you hook into a fish. I've seen you say BIG ONE for fish that you had to get the measuring stick out for. I'm not hating or bashing you, I'm just calling it like I see it.

I know it s far from you all but I would definitely check out Adrian College. One of the top bass fishing schools in the country and not far from the Great Lakes which I m sure she would benefit from a little more experience on. Also, definitely want to see that 20/20 for the whole season!

Definitely want to see a full season 20/20 and it would also be cool to see a 2023 preview with your thoughts on the stops. To me it seems like 2023 is setup really good for you. Go get the AOY and classic championship next year!

Hey Scott you did great, the BassMaster is a very tough competition to win, no only knowledge is needed but a little bit of good luck, I remember the 2004 the way takahiro won, that last day was more good luck than anything

We are going to need a lot of content during the off-season. Some Freeman fishing, casual bass fishing, or hunting content would be awesome to watch until the 2023 season begins. Can t wait to watch the classic

Dude just say you messed up. Not that big of a deal. You re not king fisherman of the universe. You just sucked. But you re not god and its okay to make mistakes. All you have to do is take responsibility

I don't understand when you have alot of fish biting and your barely culling ounces with your limit you don't throw a bigger glide bait or swimbait to maybe trigger a couple of difference makers?

Season long 20-20 sounds good including bass movement lmb & smb plus spotted bass include bait and bait movement. It would be interesting and educational tight lines Scott Martin. From a big fan!

Would love to Hillary on the Auburn fishing team. I live 15 minutes from Auburn and I'm a Alabama fan but Auburn has a great program. And who knows I may get to see here on one of my local lakes

When you do the Round-up for the year, when you explain what you did and did not do at each event, please include a brief rundown of what the winner of each event did as a comparison.

We're all life long learners and if this helps you going forward, then it's the price you pay for wisdom and experience. I'll be looking out for the extended 20/20. Thanks for sharing.
