As a side note, WGPU can also be used as a rendering abstraction layer on top of modern platform dependent graphics APIs such as Vulkan, Metal, DirectX etc. And can be accessed from many programming languages most notably C++ and Rust and used not only for web development but also in mobile app development and desktop app development.
