Why their products are so late & yet they didn't announce any product name or pricing or even release date. They keep announcing stuff and don't release any new products on the market. They just released r5 5600 few weeks ago on market which is from a product line that should've been available almost 2 years ago. These new stuffs are gonna be available at msrp probably 3 years later when they're gonna announce 8000 series CPUs. I wanted laptop that would have excellent battery life with good performance but I don't wanna go with Mac's so I was looking for 6600u or 6800u zen 3 & rdna2 based laptops for a year but it's nowhere to be found yet. They just have one laptop with 6000 series chip from Asus which costs 2000- 3000. They're only selling 6000 series laptops with dedicated GPUs which completely ruins point of them bragging so much about putting rdna2 graphics on their chips. Those laptops with power hungry GPUs needs to be plugged in all the time and I hate that. I'm really kinda tired of their bs. I just hope this announcement lowers down the 12th gen builds so I can just build a 12th gen setup and achieve mental peace.

Hey, Gamers Nexus. You've mentioned laptops in in the recap of the event. I am now looking for a laptop, but anywhere on the internet I can not find a comparative chart of the performance of gaming laptops, not freshly released, but in general. Its just a gray zone in the market, where noone can know the performance of a specific laptop before he buys it (unless its widespread like Apple macs). I undersand there is great variation in model types, configurations etc. Its a large chunk of the gaming market, I believe, but still, laptop performance are never compared on a scale large enough to actually help you make a buying decision. All you can find on the internet, is a review of one laptop, you are lucke if it is compared to 1 or 2 others. My past experience in buysing laptops was super bad, I bought an MSI (gs 60) a few years ago that burnt itself down in 2 years just as the warranty ended, as it was overheating and throttling out of the box. Maybe you can come up with sth in the future for us to enjoy.

I just built one with the Ryzen 7 5700G. I tbought it was obsolete the minute I finished building. The integrated graphics are a disappointment in the 5700G. About 75% as powerfull as an GT 1030.
I turned off PDO (Precision drive overboost) and limited the CPU to 65 degrees Celsius. Case is Cooler Master S600. The CPU gets rarely at 63 degrees and boosts to about 4650 Mhz on all cores with an load of 15% on H&G. Watching movies and having open lots of tabs the 5700G has a load of 0% to 2%. RAM runs on 3000 Mhz and is 16 GB DDR4.
I guess this system is good for another 10 years. My old i7 quadcore hyperthreading from 2011 beats my i3-9100 from 2019.
I guess the zen 4 is overworthed and not a leap foreward as much everyone thought. I like this 5700G over the i3-9100.
Will be zen 4 that much better?
What about the physical limits of the silicon 5nm a few years was talked about that much?

Yeah i dont know. This seems strange. Only 15% better IPC is a bit unexpected. I mean i didnt think it would be 40+% but with a 5/6NM Chiplet Design and an up to 5,5 GHZ Clockspeed and also with DDR5
Something seems to not add up in my Opinion.
All this together should at least be (Way) better than Intels 12th Gen or not? I have a hard Time believing they will be only on Par with Intel for the 12th Gen CPUs. What about the 13th Gen then
Sure, they add some cool Stuff like Direct Storage and 24 5.0 PCIE Lanes this Time around but still This Number doesnt sound correct to me.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't putting a iGPU in a CPU designed for high end desktops (so anything like a 5800, 5900, 5950, 12700K, 12900K and the KF versions) just an additional source of HEAT and power running thru the CPU that LOWERS the potential of the CPU?
I am well aware that back in the day when CPU boosting was not so aggressive (basically on the level of overclocking with custom water cooling nowdays), since most people did not OC their cpus it was a non issue, but now? When CPUs on stock reach 90C on stock + air cooling?
Maybe I am getting something wrong here.

I'm holding out for more details about the platform overall. I'd want to hear about their plans for longevity of the platform. The guarantees for AM4 helped me with my purchasing choices, I'd like to know what, if any, commitment they have this time to forward compatibility.

Well, aside from the usual performance stuff, I'm more interested in comparisons between the quality of the VRMs of the different boards, both Intel and AMD, since it's what I'm always most preoccupied with and I wanna know which brands and which products to keep an eye for.

16:34 well this all depends on what your streaming. If, say for example, magic the gathering card game or Gwent or skeefree or solitaire is your jam to stream, a laptop might be all you need however I'd absolutely recommend an external microphone

The board I'm waiting for:
The Chingrish Yellow Peril Group's
IPFRELY ALLOVR0U Yellosttreme ProStateExpress SHeeLixStreme 69000
(Rice paper umbrella not included). Availability of product comes and goes depending on market fluctuations .

If they backport it to DDR4/AM4 with at least mainstream 1 CCD 6-8 core SKUs, i'll take it to replace my 3700X. But in other way i don't see any reason to get all new overexpensive platform and gold-plated-like DDR5 RAM.
