the custom cards better come with usb c. really worrying that. i need it. just bought a fancy expensive adaptor for my 2070 super so i can get 4k60 on my tv/ monitor and use my vr at the same time. otherwise its switching plugs around and resetting resolutions and dealing with 30fps etc. its a nightmare. i wish wmr had just used displayport. annoying trying to use two hdmi devices that both need high bandwidth when you dont have two hdmi plugs.

Trying to get a stream build ready for Cyberpunk. When do they typically release the partner variants of the cards? I may be forced to buy a 3080 (Founders) over a 3070 (Founders) because October is cutting it too close for prep. Does anyone know release dates for these alt partner variants? And which company usually does a good job of upgrading the card for the price? Sorry for basic questions. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Why none of them use real fans? What's with all these tiny, crappy fans that can't cool shit. I wanna see a card with 2 120mm noctua grade fans. Most of us buy one card so makes sense to use that space for better cooling.
I replaced 1080ti s fans with 2 120mm noctua fans. The noise and temps improved from 70-80C noisy to 66Cmax silent. The fans are tied with zip ties, very cheap and effective gpu mod.

I really think the 3090 is major overkill for people who are ONLY gaming. 3080 seems to be FAR more of a better buy if you re only using a GPU for gaming. The price is one issue but the fact is that the 3090 is a HUGE giant card. You re gonna need a big ass case for that card. Which really becomes a turn off for people who have smaller cases.

Great video, but is there a particular reason you spent much less time on the Asus cards? Their website isn't even broken! I'm personally interested in the Strix cards and cooler, as it's what I've had in the past and been happy with. Also, do you think you think you will get your hands on any of these cards for benchmarking before launch?

I really want to get the reference 3080, but I'm not sure if I should wait for the AIB cards. Frankly, I barely do any overclocking and I'm not planning on watercooling my GPU at all. Most of these AIB cards don't look like they'd be that much better than the reference model considering I am going to air cool it. Any thoughts?

If we ve learned anything do not but a gold MSI GPU lol seriously though if you are going to pre order EVGA is usually a safe bet but even they ve had issues in the past so better to let everyone else be the Ginny pigs.
That new faceplate on the evga card why throw color in there it s nice to have a GPU that can match any build.

Despite the hate that they've been getting, MSI make amazing GPU coolers.
I had a 1070 QuickSilver, I had a 1080 Gaming X and now I'm running a 2080 Gaming X Trio - all have been good overclockers, very cool and dead silent.
Looking forward to getting a 3080 Gaming X Trio - either that or a Strix, we'll see.

5:02 i picked the wrong time to blow a small fortune on a usb c adapter i see. damnit. that was the only way i could have two high bandwidth hdmi devices plugged into my 2070 super. no idea how i am going to do this if i upgrade to a 30 series. this is very unfortunate. why are they ditching usb c??!!

4352X2= 8704, the card actually has 4352 cores but double IOP cycles so it double cycles per core so it literally is hyperthreading, (8cores/16Threads) just like a CPU but i dont know how that Hyperthreaded 4352 Cores double cycling will increase performance might even decrease?
